THE GATEWAY TO CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Let's Stop In The Valley
The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad runs from Akron to Independence, making different stops along the way. After steadfast efforts by community leaders, city officials and elected representatives, purchase of the vacant land for the future train depot has recently been approved! Reviving Merriman Valley with this train depot will create increased foot traffic, attract new and retain existing businesses, create jobs, generate tax dollars, increase property values, and enhance the overall vitality of the district.

PRESERVE THE VALLEY
IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED.
Make your voice heard to save 43 acres of woodlands from becoming a housing development of 65-110 homes. This property is located next to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and is considered Akron's last and largest unsold green space.
This property is located between Theiss Road and Hardy Road. Tell the City of Akron that you OPPOSE the sale of this property to a private developer and that you SUPPORT the sale to the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
